Teenager Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault of 4-Year-Old Girl in Pardi
Nagpur, India: A 17-year-old boy is in police custody after being accused of attempting to sexually assault a 4-year-old girl in Pardi on Monday, February 10.
Police reports indicate that the suspect and the victim knew each other, and resided in the same neighbourhood. The accused allegedly took advantage of this familiarity to attempt the assault. The young girl's cries for help alerted her parents, who intervened and halted the attack.
Authorities have registered a case against the teenager under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The Pardi Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
