The Asia cup has given Indian ladies a great deal of confidence
The captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, believes that the Indian women's team would not deviate from its planned course during the much awaited Asia Cup match against Pakistan later this month. The team enters every match with an insatiable drive for win.
The Indian women are full of confidence after recently drawing the T20I series 1-1 at home and defeating South Africa in a one-off Test and three-match ODI series.
"The kind of approach we have right now, every day whenever we are going to play the matches, we are giving equal importance to all matches," Kaur stated to Star Sports.
"We all are very greedy to win every game, and that is something we feel should be in a team, and this is what everyone in the team is feeling," she stated. India's next task is the Women's Asia Cup, which starts in Sri Lanka on July 19.
Kaur and company will play their opening match at Dambulla against old rivals Pakistan. As a leader, Kaur claimed it is her duty to ease her team's anxiety before and during high-stakes games.
