The Bihar State Olympic Association is dissolved by PT Usha

The Bihar Olympic Association (BOA) was dissolved by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) due to ineffective administration, a lack of transparency, and poor governance.

A five-member ad hoc committee headed by Hockey India Secretary General Bholanath Singh has been established by IOA president PT Usha to assume temporary leadership of the BOA and hold new elections by March 31.

This occurred just days after BOA gave Usha a legal notice requesting that it form a fact-finding committee to look into grievances concerning the organization's governance and operations.

BOA secretary Mushtaque Ahmad had described Usha's conduct as "unilateral and arbitrary," claiming that they were not given a chance to respond to the concerns.

On the suggestion of fact-finding commissioner Hemanta Kalita, IOA president Usha announced on Wednesday the formation of an ad hoc body to oversee BOA. "An ad hoc committee is being formed to look after the affairs of the Bihar Olympic Association in light of the observations and recommendation of the fact-finding commission appointed for the BOA," Usha stated in an office order on Wednesday, a copy of which is with HT.
