Theft Case Solved by Sonegaon Police, Minor Handed Over to Parents

Nagpur: A theft case reported at Sonegaon Police Station was successfully solved after the accused, a minor, was caught by the complainant.
The incident occurred at a godown near Plot No. 36A, Meher Colony, where Amul company products were stored. The godown belonged to Ravi Vasudev Dhanwani (40), a resident of the same area. On 6th March 2025, around 1:00 PM, an unidentified boy entered the godown by crossing the wire compound at the back and stole ₹5,000 in cash from a drawer, along with silver coins and chocolates worth ₹1,000.
When the complainant checked the CCTV footage, the theft was clearly captured. On 19th March 2025, the same boy returned to commit another theft. However, this time, Dhanwani recognised him, caught him, and immediately informed the police.
Sonegaon Police registered a case under Section 305A and took the minor into custody. During questioning, the boy confessed to the theft. Following the legal procedure, the police handed the minor over to his parents. Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
