Thief Steals ₹2.87 Lakh Valuables from House in Pardi, Nagpur
Nagpur, India: In a shocking incident, a burglary took place in the Pardi area, where an unknown intruder broke into a house and stole valuables worth ₹2.87 lakh. The incident occurred between 4:45 AM and 6:30 AM on January 1, 2025, when the complainant, Gaitam Likheeram Verma (55), had locked his house and gone with his family to Kalamna Market for vegetable shopping.
According to the police, the accused broke the lock on the main door of the house and entered. Once inside, the thief ransacked the bedroom’s wooden wardrobe, stealing ₹1,73,000 in cash, gold jewellery, and the original registry document of the house purchase, bringing the total stolen value to ₹2.87 lahks.
Upon realizing the theft, Gaitam filed a complaint with the police, leading to the registration of a case against an unknown person under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Shinde from Pardi Police Station is investigating the case, and efforts are being made to apprehend the culprit.
The police have urged locals to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities in the area.
