Thief Steals Rs 1 Lakh from Young Woman's Home in Ajni, Nagpur
Nagpur, India: A thief broke into a young woman’s residence in Ajni, Nagpur, and stole Rs 1 lakh in cash during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. The incident occurred at Plot No. 124, Sunderban Layout, Narendra Nagar, where Puja Sanjay Nighot (26) had locked her home around 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday to attend a friend’s birthday celebration.
Taking advantage of her absence, the burglar broke the door lock, entered the house, and stole Rs 1 lakh in cash from an almirah. When Puja returned around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, she was shocked to discover the broken lock and missing cash.
Following her complaint, Ajni Police registered a case under Sections 331(3), 331(4), and 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and initiated an investigation into the burglary.
