Those with Navneet Were Not Sincere, Says Ravi Rana

"Former MP Navneet Rana worked very hard for the development of the Amravati Lok Sabha constituency over the last five years, raising its profile nationally. If she had won the recent Lok Sabha elections, she could have become a minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Cabinet. Those who betrayed her during the election will face consequences soon," warned MLA Ravi Rana in a press conference on Monday.

This was Rana’s first talk with the media since Navneet Rana’s defeat. He admitted her loss and discussed the betrayal she faced from her supporters. According to Rana, the Congress team, including leaders like Adv Yashomati Thakur, Dr. Sunil Deshmukh, and Bablu Deshmukh, worked hard for their candidate, Balwant Wankhade, which led to his win. In contrast, Navneet Rana’s BJP supporters were not sincere, causing her to lose.

Ravi Rana also reviewed the election results, saying that Navneet Rana’s win in 2019 was due to support from the Muslim and Ambedkarite communities. However, false rumours spread by the opposition caused these groups to pull back from supporting her. He was unhappy that these communities were influenced by claims that the Constitution was in danger.

The Muslim community heavily voted for Balwant Wankhade. Now, there is a demand for the Congress Party to have a Muslim candidate in the upcoming Assembly election, given their population in the Amravati constituency. Rana predicted that the next MLA from this area will be from the Muslim community.

Ravi Rana also criticized MLA Bachchu Kadu, President of the Prahar Janshakti Party, accusing him of dishonest behavior and fielding a candidate deliberately to disrupt the election. Rana promised to reveal evidence of money demands made by Kadu to withdraw his candidate. He said that the people of Achalpur Assembly Constituency, represented by Kadu, are now aware of his 'dirty politics' and will respond in the next election.

Rana also claimed that Sanjay Khodke of NCP (Ajit Pawar) did not support the Mahayuti candidate and betrayed the coalition. Both MLA Bachchu Kadu and Sulabha Khodke were disloyal to Mahayuti and will face the people's anger, he said.

Navneet Rana has greatly contributed to Amravati’s development in the last five years, and her defeat will slow down the progress, Rana stated. He announced that he will run in the upcoming Assembly election from the Badnera constituency, which he has represented for 15 years. He also mentioned that the Yuva Swabhiman Party, as part of the National Democratic Alliance, plans to field candidates in other Assembly constituencies.
