Thousands Join Fadnavis’ Campaign Trail in Nagpur as Mahayuti and MVA Begin Election Push
Nagpur, India: The political landscape in Nagpur heated up on Tuesday as heavyweights from the Mahayuti alliance and Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) launched their election campaigns across various constituencies. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Congress city president Vikas Thakre, and Congress candidate Girish Pandav spearheaded rallies to energise their base and appeal to voters.
Fadnavis, seeking a fourth consecutive term, began his campaign in South West Nagpur at Bhagat Petrol Pump Square, Hingna T-point, at 8:30 AM. The rally's route extended through key areas including Jaitala, Vasudeo Nagar, Yashodhara Nagar, and Laxmi Nagar before culminating at Chhatrapati Nagar.
Ritesh Gawande, president of BJP’s South West constituency, along with general secretary Niraj Dontulwar, highlighted the presence of senior BJP leaders like city chief Bunty Kukde. “Approximately 3,000+ party workers and office-bearers followed the main campaign vehicle adorned with BJP flags.”
The rally through South West Nagpur witnessed overwhelming support, with crowds showering flowers and confetti, creating an electrifying atmosphere. Devendra Fadnavis expressed confidence during his interaction with the Nagpur Trends team, reflecting his trust in the strong backing of his supporters.
This rally showed the strength of both the Mahayuti alliance and the Maha Vikas Aghadi emphasized their commitment to securing victory and demonstrated their robust hold over their respective constituencies as the election season began.
