Three Caught in Chandrapur with MD Drugs Worth ₹1.4 Lakh
The Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Chandrapur Police arrested three men for transporting MD drugs on Wednesday. The arrests took place in the Rayatwari area under Ramnagar Police Station limits.
The police had received a tip-off about a vehicle carrying Mephodrone (MD) drugs for sale in Chandrapur. Acting on this information, they set up a trap in Rayatwari. When the suspected vehicle arrived, the police chased it and stopped it near Nimwatika.
Upon searching the car, officers found 23.46 grams of MD powder worth ₹1,40,760. They also seized the four-wheeler, valued at ₹8,00,000. The total value of the seized items is ₹9,40,760.
The police arrested three people: Malu alias Naseeb Arif Khan (28) from Bagalkhidki, Chandrapur; Deepak Aswani (32) from Sindhi Colony; Jamir Shabir Sheikh (22) from Bagalkhidki, Chandrapur
They have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Ramnagar Police Station. The investigation is still ongoing to find out more about the drug supply network.
