Three Thieves Held, Valuables Worth Over Rs 2.5 Lakh Recovered

The New Kamptee Police have apprehended three thieves and recovered stolen gold ornaments, silver coins, and other valuables totalling Rs 2,55,500.

The suspects are Prany Ramesh Khandait (24) from Ganganer, Hiwra, Taluka Mouda; Mayur Sovidra Taywade (21) from Sawargaon, Babdeo, Taluka Mouda; and Atitya Moreshwar Gabhne (20) from Tarsa.

The trio had stolen gold items—including a mangalsutra, two chains, a bracelet, five rings, two pairs of earrings, and a gold medal—along with two silver coins, a WiFi router, and a surveillance camera, collectively worth Rs 4,70,300 from Akanksha Akhilesh Singh’s residence at Guru Kripa Colony, Kamptee, in August of the previous year. The burglary occurred while Akanksha, who was staying with her mother at 5 Tulsi Park Apartment, Dabha Ring Road, after her mother's surgery, had left her house locked.

Following Akanksha’s complaint, the New Kamptee Police opened a case of housebreaking theft. Using surveillance footage, the police identified and apprehended the culprits, recovering the stolen items.

The arrests were made by API Sachin Yadav, with assistance from constables Vilas Deogade, Narekh Kharagban, Pawan Sirsat, Shyam Phokmare, and others, under the supervision of Senior PI Pramod Porey.
