Traffic Police Implement Strick Measures for Bharat Bandh Protests
Nagpur, India: The Traffic Branch of the city police has announced complete arrangements to manage the rallies organized by various political parties and organizations today, in response to the recent Supreme Court ruling on SC/ST reservations.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Shashikant Satav, stated in a press release that rallies will be conducted from multiple key locations across the city, including Bhim Chowk (Indora), Jattarodi Chowk, Manewada Chowk, Shatabdi Nagar Square, Trisharan Chowk, Ajni, and Annabhau Sathe Chowk. These processions will converge at Samvidhan Chowk, where the main demonstration is expected to take place.
In anticipation of these events, traffic police officers and constables will be strategically deployed throughout the city to manage traffic flow and maintain order. DCP Satav emphasized the importance of maintaining peace during the demonstrations and urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement to minimize disruptions.
The Supreme Court's decision to exclude the 'creamy layer' from the SC/ST quota has sparked widespread dissent, leading to the organization of these city-wide protests. The Traffic Branch remains on high alert to ensure that the rallies proceed peacefully and with minimal impact on the city's traffic. DCP Satav also appealed to the public to cooperate with any necessary traffic diversions to help reduce congestion and ensure the smooth flow of vehicles across the city.
