Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Three Young Motorcyclists in Nagpur

In a heartbreaking incident, three young motorcyclists lost their lives in Nagpur due to a road accident. The accident occurred near Dhomne Sabhagriha on Rana Pratap Nagar Ring Road.

The victims, identified as Prakash Bhaiyyalal Raut (25), Nikesh Gyaneshwar Atkare (27), and Umesh Rameshwar Shende (25), were riding on a motorcycle together during Holi celebrations when tragedy struck.

According to reports, the motorcycle, a Bajaj Platina bearing registration number MH-31/BZ-4433, veered out of control and collided with an electric pole after hitting a road divider. The impact of the collision resulted in severe injuries to all three riders.

Despite immediate medical attention, Prakash and Nikesh were declared deceased upon their arrival at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). Umesh, the third rider, was initially treated at Padole Hospital in Swavalambi Nagar Square but later succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at GMCH the following day.

The case was registered by PSI Satish Bhole under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Motor Vehicle Act against the deceased rider, Prakash Raut. Police cited difficulties in promptly establishing the identities of the victims and the absence of eyewitnesses as reasons for the delay in registering the case.

This tragic incident serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of road safety and responsible riding, particularly during festive occasions. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the families and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time.
