Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Two Brothers Near Selu Village, Nagpur

Nagpur, India:  On Monday evening near Selu village in Kalmeshwar taluka, two brothers lost their lives after being struck by a speeding heavy vehicle. The victims, Sandeep Chandrabhan Kande (34) and Praveen Kande (28), both residents of Astikala village, were decapitated in the horrific incident.

Reports indicate that Sandeep was returning home from Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh, while his brother Praveen had gone to Kalmeshwar to pick him up. The brothers were riding a two-wheeler (MH-40/BN-9229) around 7:30 p.m. when the tragedy occurred. While attempting to turn through an illegal opening in the road divider near Selu village, they were hit by a speeding heavy vehicle coming from the opposite direction. The impact caused the brothers to fall from their two-wheeler and were crushed under the wheels.

The gruesome nature of the accident, which left the brothers' heads severed from their torsos and dragged several meters, shocked local villagers who gathered at the site. Passers-by alerted the Nagpur (Rural) Police, and a team from Kalmeshwar Police quickly arrived. The mutilated bodies of the Kande brothers were taken to the Rural Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Kalmeshwar Police have registered a hit-and-run case against the driver of the heavy vehicle, who fled the scene immediately after the accident. A manhunt has been launched to locate the suspect.

Such increasing hit-and-run cases are common nowadays, people with economical backup gets there way out from the police and the poor get strict punishment within days or week after the incident. The Pune Porche and Nagpur Mercedes Ram jhula accident are the perfect example how money speaks more than the police or court. The victim's family revolves around the court hearing and police investigating the air and the case becomes a major loophole.
