Tragic Accident: Toddler Killed in Hit-and-Run in Nagpur
A sad incident occurred in Nagpur's Gittikhadan area on Wednesday evening, resulting in the death of a 2-year-old boy. Little Darshan Anand Ghogde, who lived in Dashrath Nagar, was playing near his house around 6 pm when a speeding motorcyclist hit him from behind.
The impact of the collision was severe, and Darshan was rushed to Mayo Hospital for treatment. However, despite the efforts of doctors, he couldn't be saved and was declared dead upon arrival.
The motorcyclist, fearing the consequences, fled the scene after the accident. Darshan's grandfather, Devendra Sewakram Ghogde, filed a complaint with the Gittikhadan Police regarding the hit-and-run incident.
As a result, the police have taken action, registering a case against the motorcyclist under Sections 279 and 304(A) of the Indian Penal Code, along with Sections 134 and 177 of the Motor Vehicle Act. They have initiated a search to find the person responsible for this tragic incident.
The entire neighborhood is mourning the loss of young Darshan, and the community hopes for justice to be served swiftly.
