Tragic Drowning Incident Claims Life of Young Man in Nagpur
Nagpur, India: A young man lost his life in a tragic drowning incident at the railway swimming pool near WIMS Stadium in Nagpur on Saturday morning. Amit Pradeep Banerjee, aged 28, a resident of Chaitanya Nagar, Wathoda, was swimming when he suffered a seizure in the water and lost consciousness.
The incident occurred around 8:00 AM. Witnesses reported that Amit was enjoying his swim when he suddenly fell unconscious. Immediate action was taken, and he was rushed to WIMS Hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead shortly after arrival, at 8:25 AM.
Following the incident, Amit's brother, Bhanupratap Pradeep Banerjee, aged 33, provided a statement to the police regarding the circumstances surrounding his brother's death. Based on this information, Assistant Police Inspector Shirdoole (contact number 8888876583) from Police Station Sadar has officially recorded the incident as an accidental death.
The sudden loss of Amit has left his family and the community in shock. Authorities are conducting a further investigation into the incident to gather more details.
