Truck Crushes Mentally Challenged Woman to Death
A mentally challenged woman was tragically crushed to death by a speeding truck carrying an excavator on Gorewada Road, under the jurisdiction of Gittikhadan police station, on Monday evening.
According to police, the unidentified woman, believed to be in her 40s, was crossing the road near a water park on Gorewada Village Road at around 5 PM. A truck belonging to MSEDCL, carrying an excavator, approached from the opposite direction and struck the woman. She was run over by the truck and died instantly.
Gittikhadan police have registered a case and arrested the truck driver, identified as 27-year-old Rohit Laxman Katekar, a resident of Dipti Signal.
