Two Arrested for Attempted Murder Following Dispute in Pardi
Two individuals, identified as Ankit Ramesh Gajbhiye (24) and Badal Raju Dhawle (25), have been apprehended by Pardi Police for their involvement in attempting to kill a 29-year-old man with swords. The incident occurred on Thursday night when the victim intervened to settle a dispute between his brother and the accused.
The victim, Rajesh Omkar Gaure, a resident of Hanuman Nagar, Pardi, was rushed to Mayo Hospital following the attack. Gaure's elder brother had an ongoing dispute with Gajbhiye and Dhawle, who reportedly assaulted him. When Gaure attempted to mediate and resolve the conflict, he was threatened with dire consequences by Gajbhiye.
Later in the evening, around 9:30 pm, Gajbhiye and Dhawle forcibly entered Gaure's brother's house and launched a vicious attack on Gaure with swords. Despite attempts by family members to intervene and flee, they were also subjected to threats by the assailants.
In response to the incident, Pardi Police swiftly registered a case under Sections 307 (attempt to murder), 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 294 (obscene acts or words in public), 506(b) (criminal intimidation), and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code against Gajbhiye and Dhawle.
The arrest of the accused perpetrators underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to uphold public safety and ensure swift justice for victims of violent crimes. Investigations into the matter continue as authorities work to gather evidence and bring the perpetrators to justice.
