Two Deaths in One Night: Sakkardara and Wathoda Cases Spark Concern
The city was shaken by two murders overnight, with both incidents happening just hours apart. Both victims, coincidentally named Amol, were killed in separate violent attacks.
Sakkardhara Murder
In the first case, 44-year-old Amol Bahadure was murdered in a dispute over a land deal. Amol, a businessman, had been negotiating the purchase of land in Matkazari, Umred. The main accused, Shubham Hatwar, also wanted the same property and had tried to convince Amol to drop the deal. When Amol refused, Shubham and his associates attacked him during a meeting at Bhande Plot.
The group used bricks and stones to injure Amol severely. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead. The Sakkardara Police have arrested one suspect and are searching for the others involved.

Wathoda Murder
In the second incident, 31-year-old Amol Wanjari was stabbed to death in the New Suraj Nagar slum. Amol had an ongoing rivalry with a group of men who attacked him with sharp weapons. The attack happened around 10:30 pm when Amol visited someone’s house in the area.
Despite police arriving at the scene, Amol could not be saved. The Wathoda Police have identified the attackers and are working to arrest them.
Both murders have left residents worried about the rise in violent crimes. Police have promised to take strict action against those responsible.
