Two Men Arrested for Stealing Gold and Electronics in Gittikhadan, Nagpur

Nagpur, India: Two men were arrested by Nagpur Police after being accused of breaking into a house in the Gittikhadan area and stealing valuable items. The burglary took place on 2nd February 2025, between 5:50 PM and 6:00 PM, at Plot No. 11, Yogesh Nitesh Society, Dabh, Nagpur.

The victim, Rupali Rupesh Kalmbey, had locked her house and left to attend a relative’s funeral. When she returned, she discovered that her house had been broken into. The burglars had stolen gold jewellery, a Titan wristwatch, and other valuables, amounting to a total of ₹1,81,800. The victim checked her CCTV footage, which showed three unidentified men committing the theft.

After the complaint, the Gittikhadan Police filed a case and began investigating the crime. Using advanced techniques, Crime Branch Unit 2 was able to gather information and track down the suspects.

The two men arrested were identified as Arvind alias Bunty Ashok Ghansuri (31) and Kallu Khan German Khan (55). During questioning, the suspects admitted to the crime and named their accomplice, Bharat Bhardwaj, who is from Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh. The third suspect remains on the run.

Police recovered the stolen items, including gold jewellery, a Titan wristwatch, a mobile phone, and the motorcycle used in the crime. The total value of the recovered goods is estimated at ₹1,51,000.

Senior Police Officials, including Commissioner of Police Ravindra Kumar Singal, Joint CP Nisar Tamboli, Additional CP Sanjay Patil, and DCP Rahul Maknikar, led the investigation. The arrested men were handed over to Gittikhadan Police Station, and the investigation is still ongoing.
