Vidarbha Crime Branch Nabs 2 with 28.35 kg Ganja at Badnera Station

Vidarbha, Amravati, India: The Crime Branch unit number 2 apprehended two suspects near Gandhi Vidyalaya on Badnera Railway Station Road, who were found with 28.35 kg of ganja concealed in two school bags and two suitcases. The estimated value of the confiscated ganja is ₹5.74 lakh. The individuals arrested are Mohammad Aaves (22), from Tekdipura, Washim, and Imran Khan (30), from Lalkhadi, Amravati.

According to reports, the suspects travelled by train with the ganja concealed in school bags and suitcases, disembarking at Badnera Railway Station. As they made their way from the station towards Purani Basti near Gandhi Vidyalaya, the Crime Branch apprehended them. A search revealed that they were carrying 28.35 kg of ganja. The two suspects were transferred to Badnera Police for further action. Reports indicate that the ganja was sourced from Andhra Pradesh. The police are currently interrogating both individuals.

This operation was conducted by API Mahesh Ingle, Yogesh Ingle, Sanjay Wankhade, Deepak Sundarkar, Gajanan Dhevale, Ajay Mishra, Mangesh Shinde, Sangram Bhojane, Naeem Beig, Chetan Karade, Rajik Rayaliwale, Yogesh Pawar, Nilesh Wanjari, and Sagar Thakare, under the leadership of PI Babarao Avchar of the Crime Branch, with guidance from Commissioner of Police Naveenchandra Reddy.
