Voter awareness Event to be held at KP Ground on April 6
On April 6, a sizable gathering at Kasturchand Park is planned with the goal of raising voter awareness. District Collector Dr. Vitin Itankar said, "The objective is to create a Guinness World Record by getting over 7,500 young voters to promise to take part in the largest democracy festival."
Itankar and Zilla Parishad CEO Saumya Sharma met with radio hosts and social media influencers to plan campaigns in an attempt to reach out to new voters. Itankar brought up the fact that voter turnout is typically higher in rural than in urban regions during the conference. "We want Nagpur to do very well in the voting," he said.
Sharma described a number of programs aimed at increasing voter knowledge and participation on social media. Plans to recognize colleges and residential communities with high voter turnout were also mentioned by her. She also announced a "Reel Making Competition" with the goal of using social media to raise young awareness.
