Wadi Police Solve Murder of 55-Year-Old Paan Shop Owner

Nagpur, India: The Wadi Police bust the murder case of Subhash Gulab Borkar, a 55-year-old paan kiosk owner and bootlegger, whose death was allegedly linked to a dispute over the sale of liquor on credit. Borkar, who had physical disabilities and was involved in the illegal sale of alcohol, was found dead near his kiosk close to R M Dayaram & Company on Wednesday afternoon.

The police arrested 26-year-old Rohit Balakram Malvi, an earth-moving machine operator from Ashirwad Nagar, in connection with the crime. Investigations revealed that Malvi had approached Borkar, requesting a bottle of liquor on credit. When Borkar refused, a heated argument ensued, during which Malvi allegedly attacked him with a stick and later crushed his head with a boulder.

After the murder, the police gathered crucial evidence and witness statements that pointed to Malvi as the assailant. During interrogation, Malvi confessed to the crime, detailing the altercation that led to Borkar’s death.

The arrest was made by Senior PI Rajesh Tatkare, PI Sonyabapu Deshmukh, API Kunal Dhurat, and API Rahul Sawant, under the supervision of Addl CP (South Region) Shivajirao Rathod, DCP (Zone-I) Lohit Matani, and ACP (MIDC Division) Satish Kumar Gaurav.
