Nagpur, India: Pramod Devgirikar, a bullion trader from Hinganghat, Wardha, lost jewellery worth ₹19.43 lakh while travelling in an e-rickshaw between Badkas Square and the ST Stand in Mahal on March 28.

Devgirikar, 55, had come to Nagpur to buy jewellery from the Sarafa Bazaar. After completing his purchases, he took an e-rickshaw from Badkas Square to the ST Stand to catch a bus back to Wardha.

Two women, who were also in the e-rickshaw, got off before reaching the ST Stand. When Devgirikar boarded a Nikhil Travels bus for Hinganghat and took out money to buy a ticket, he discovered that the jewellery was missing.

Following the incident, he lodged a complaint at the Ganeshpeth police station. Police are investigating the matter to trace the culprits.
