Woman Assaulted under False Pretense of Watching TV
A woman was sexually assaulted by a man who tricked her into coming over to watch television. The incident happened at Hudkeshwar Police Station area and involved a 30-year-old named Anil Gopal Kambli.
Kambli, who works as a laborer and resides in rented accommodation, has a history of alcohol addiction. The victim, a 54-year-old woman separated from her husband, lives with her mother near Kambli's residence.
On the night of March 11, Kambli persuaded the woman to accompany him to his first-floor room under the pretext of watching TV. Once there, he threatened her and assaulted her. Upon returning home, the woman informed her family, leading to a complaint being filed at Hudkeshwar police station. The authorities have registered a case of rape and are investigating the matter.
