Woman Steals Gold Jewellery Worth Rs. 2.60 Lakh in Sakkardara, Nagpur
Nagpur, India: A theft took place in Nagpur, when a 56-year-old woman, Asha Ravindra Dhoge, fell victim to a robbery while travelling in an auto-rickshaw. Mrs Dhoge, who lives in Kolasawli, Nagpur, had just arrived at Ganeshpeth Bus Stop and was heading to her son’s residence in Gyaneshwar Nagar, Manewada Road.
This incident happened around 3 pm, on January 19, 2025. During the ride, two unidentified women travelling in the rickshaw took advantage of Mrs Dhoge's distraction. They opened the zipper of her bag and stole a box containing gold jewellery worth an estimated Rs. 2.60 lahks while travelling between Ganeshpeth Bus Stop and Sakkardara Square.
Mrs Dhoge filed a complaint with the Sakkardara Police. Officer Pandey has registered a case under Section 303/2 of the Bharatiya Naye Sahita (BNS) for theft.
The police have initiated an investigation to locate and arrest the woman responsible for the crime.
