Yami Gautam's Latest Film "Article 370" Unveils Trailer
The trailer for "Article 370," featuring Yami Gautam, was released on Thursday, picturing the events leading to the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status. While the film claims to be 'inspired by true events,' its authenticity is subject to debate.
In the film, Yami Gautam portrays an intelligence officer grappling with personal loss, who is then assigned to lead a mission in Kashmir with a "free hand." With its loud, violent, and nationalistic tone, the movie seems reminiscent of "The Kashmir Files," which stirred controversy upon its 2022 release despite box office success.
Produced by Aditya Dhar, known for directing "Uri: The Surgical Strike," a recipient of the National Film Award for Best Director, "Article 370" carries a clear political message, particularly evident just months before the 18th Lok Sabha elections. The YouTube description boldly asserts, "The entirety of Kashmir was, is, and will always be a part of India."
Alongside Yami Gautam, Priyamani and Arun Govil feature in the film, set to hit theatres on February 23, directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale.
Notably, recent releases like "Main Atal Hoon," led by Pankaj Tripathi, failed to garner positive reviews, while anticipation surrounds Kangana Ranaut's "Emergency," where she portrays Indira Gandhi, slated for release around the Lok Sabha elections.
