Young Cab Driver Brutally Killed in Yashodhara Nagar
Nagpur, India- In the early hours of Friday, a tragic incident unfolded in Yashodhara Nagar, where a young cab driver lost his life in a brutal attack. The victim, Yash Vishnu Gonekar, aged 21, lived in MHADA Colony, Kapil Nagar, and worked as a cab driver for OLA.
The event occurred around 12:30 am when Yash was on his way home in his cab. Allegedly, two individuals, Shaikh Arbaz Shaikh Iqbal and Aslam alias Guddu Maksood Ansari, residents of the same colony, confronted Yash near his residence. Reports suggest that Yash had a strained relationship with these two individuals.
An argument ensued, escalating into a violent confrontation. Shaikh Arbaz and Aslam reportedly attacked Yash with sharp weapons before fleeing from the scene, leaving Yash critically injured.
Yash was rushed to Mayo Hospital, but due to the severity of his injuries, he was referred to the Government Medical College & Hospital. Despite medical efforts, Yash couldn't survive.
The victim's father, Vishnu Laxman Gonekar, aged 52, filed a complaint with the Yashodhara Nagar Police. Following the complaint, the police have registered a case against Shaikh Arbaz and Aslam under Sections 302 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, about murder and acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention respectively, The police are actively searching for the suspects who remain at large.
