Young Man Kills Wife Over Suspected Infidelity
Nagpur, India- A young man brutally attacked and killed his wife with an iron rod in Dixit Nagar, under Kapil Nagar police station, late Tuesday night. Police believe the murder happened because he suspected she was having an affair. The victim, Mannat Kaur, also known as Meenu Virk (24), was killed by her husband, Dilpreet, also known as Vicky Kulwinder Singh Virk (30). They had a two-year-old son.
Vicky used to run a car accessories shop in Gaddigodam, which closed and then opened Kings Accessories in Kapil Nagar. Vicky and Mannat had been together for five years before they married in 2022 against their families' wishes. Their relationship had problems due to Vicky's drinking and his suspicions about Mannat's faithfulness. They tried living separately because of their fights, but the issues continued.
Earlier on Tuesday, Mannat reported Vicky's violence to her family and filed a complaint at Kapil Nagar police station. Vicky was released shortly after. That night, another fight at their home led Vicky to attack Mannat fatally. After the attack, Vicky fled and reportedly hid at a bar. Kapil Nagar police arrested him around 3 am. Mannat had severe head injuries.
