Youth Dies After Being Hit by Unidentified Vehicle in Beltarodi
Nagpur: A 24-year-old youth tragically lost his life after being hit by a speeding, unidentified vehicle while riding his moped near the Panjari toll plaza on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased, identified as Pawan Santosh Gondale, was a resident of Juna Bidipeth, Sakkardara. According to police, the incident occurred around 2.30 pm near Black Villa Hotel when Pawan was crossing the road on his two-wheeler. A fast-approaching vehicle struck him and fled the scene.
Pawan sustained serious injuries and was immediately rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) by locals. However, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Beltarodi police have registered a case against the unidentified driver following a complaint filed by Pawan’s sister, Madhuri Borkar. A search is now underway to trace the vehicle and the driver responsible for the accident.
This incident follows another recent road tragedy in the city, where a sand-laden truck rammed into a car on Gorewada Ring Road, resulting in the death of an elderly passenger.
