Youth's Accidental Death Two Months Ago Turns Out to Be Murder

Nagpur, India- Two months ago, the body of 19-year-old Mohammad Farhan, also known as Mohammad Niaz, was found in a well near the Noga Factory in Boriyapura. Initially, the police thought it was an accidental death. However, new information has revealed that Farhan was kidnapped and murdered.
The police have charged six people with kidnapping and murder. The suspects are Latif alias Hyderabadi Tajuddin Sheikh (20), Mohammad Shahid alias Mohammad Aslam (30), Abdul Wasim alias Wasi Abdul Aziz (25), Rehan alias Motu Mukka Riyaz Sheikh (25), Junaid Mohammad Aslam (25), and Irfan alias Ghazni Rehman Khan (35). Latif has been arrested, and Shahid is already in jail for a different attempted murder case.
The investigation showed a long-standing rivalry between Shahid and Farhan's twin brother, Ajman. In December 2023, Ajman and his friends attacked Shahid. Since then, Shahid wanted revenge. Just three days before Farhan’s death, Ajman was arrested for assault. This gave Shahid and his friends an opportunity.
On April 21, around 8:30 PM, Shahid and Latif approached Farhan near Boriyapura, faking a conversation. They took him on a motorcycle to the Noga Factory area in Moti Bagh. There, they attacked him. Because Shahid couldn't swim, the others threw Farhan into a well and watched him drown. They left after he died. The next day, Farhan’s body was found in the well without his shirt.
Farhan’s parents always believed there was foul play, but the police had no evidence at first. Recently, Tehsil Police Inspector Sandeep Bua and his team were checking the homes of known criminals in Dobi Nagar. They noticed a young man watching them near Shahid’s house. When questioned, the man said that Latif had confessed to him about Farhan’s murder. This tip was given to Pachpaoli police, leading to a joint investigation by PI Bapurao Raut and PI Sandeep Bua.
The police checked the locations and phone records of the suspects. With enough evidence, they arrested Latif, who then revealed the names of the other suspects. This solved the case of Farhan’s murder. Latif is still in police custody, and Shahid will be taken from jail with a court order. The search for the other suspects is still ongoing.
